with flavors that surprise and delight. We've traveled around the
world, eaten in great restaurants everywhere, and the meals we've
had at Sweet Plantains are some of the most memorable.

left for home, we stopped by, again, to have our last meal in
paradise. We're planning to go back to St. John again next year and
dinner on the island is going to feature at least a few visits to
Sweet Plantains.

June 2009 Millie & Paul From the foodiest small town in the US: Chapel Hill, NC. Our third diner out on the island, and best so far. Four separate dishes, each distinct and delicious. Excellent presentation and flavor – probably could have selected at random and done well. Staff helpful and friendly, view unbeatable. Highest marks possible! Dean & Joan Woerner San Bruno, CA After several trips to St. John, and passing by without stopping we made a reservation with Rose to dine at S.P. What can we say except we missed the best restaurant in Coral Bay all these years. EXCELLENT!! The flavors were unbelievable; from the cocktails to our special entrees. BRAVO! Plantains. March 2009 We’re sorry we missed your first year, but we’ve come every year since – always delighted by the experience and eager for next visit. Congrats on great St. John Magazine article! NYC Ambiance is delightful, Amanda ALSO! Our dinners: deliciously differently divine. The yuca (which we cook often) was the best we’ve ever had and we thank you for the tip to TRY. To do as well (may seem like a small thing but we do travel 5-6 months a year – 7 continents so enjoy many different taste) and good yuca is good yuca!! Sunday dinner here was as expected – delicious! French Caribbean Creole Ragout was excellent as was the flan and chocolate cake and Amanda was a delight. We will pass on our recommendation for other guests to come in for dinner. I was wondering if you might share your recipe with me for the golden West Indian curried gravy? I had it with shrimp. It was so delicious. The spices so flavorful. Do you get your spices some where special? I also had a delicious soup. I think it was a curried shrimp bisque.
